The Sharjah International Airport Authority (SIA) has initiated the expansion of the East side wing of the terminal building. The East Expansion project is an integrated building that includes four new gates to increase the flow of passengers. An area of 4,900 Sq.m has been allocated for the East side Expansion.

BCG work covers the Construction and MEP works of the project. The terminal building consists of two floors, equipped with the latest means and travel technologies and provides distinctive facilities. The ground floor includes holding lounges for remote departures, rest rooms, commercial kiosks and vertical circulation areas. The first floor includes further passenger seating areas, security and police rooms and X-ray Machines, concession areas that enhance and provides the highest standards of services to ensure the comfort and happiness of travellers. The project also compromises of the construction of a new Substation and Chilled Water Network, that serves as a central utility building for the new extension.
